My Story

Dr. Hanaj received her doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University in San Diego, CA, and is currently working on her Master in Ayurveda at MIU. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Chemistry from SUNY Albany, while completing a molecular biology research apprenticeship. Therefore, she has a strong understanding of biomedical research to combine with the wisdom of ancient natural medicine acquired through her doctorate. She is a second generation American, born to two Polish parents, who both valued nutrition and herbal medicine. She grew up in NYC while spending summers in Poland on her grandparent’s farm, this childhood impacted her love for nature and it’s healing potential.

During her time at Bastyr, she experienced her own health seriously decline, developing idiopathic neurological deficits. Homeopathy and Ayurveda were the most impactful healing modalities in her own life and it inspired her to change her career trajectory. She now uses the wisdom she gained from her experience to help others struggling with chronic ailments.

Personal Life

Outside of her role as a doctor, Haridevi is a spiritual aspirant and has been an avid meditator for over 9 years. She lived in an ashram style home for 3 years while completing naturopathic medical school and travels to India often. She draws on her spiritual training to intuit medical anomalies in patients. Haridevi loves to hike and spending time in nature and has even hiked to Everest Base Camp in Nepal. Her passion is to make others reawaken to the joys and adventure that life can offer when we are aligned with our body, mind, and soul.
